On Wednesday evening, we heard from our School Council Chair, School Principal and two representatives of the Parent Support Group (PSG) regarding the achievements of the last 12 months. In attendance were members of the School Council, and also invested parents, including PSG and staff members.
The focus of our school improvement mission is always students and the provision of a welcoming, high-quality learning environment. The key focus areas for growth in the 2021-22 school year were learning, culture and environment. It was acknowledged that, despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, leadership and campus changes, IPS has successfully achieved several significant goals. It was also recognised that these successes are the result of the collective efforts of all members of the school community – STIP, IPS leadership, school staff, the PSG and parents.
School Council meetings are open to all IPS community members. The social aspect is a wonderful opportunity to meet staff and parents and learn more about the ‘behind the scenes’ business of IPS. Plus, there’s wine! We look forward to welcoming you to the next Council meeting.
